People have believed all kinds of strange things on this planet during our short time. This is partly because people (and our evolutionary ancestors) love stories. We gather around campfires and come up with entire media, industries and technologies to help them tell them. But on the other hand, people have always had a deep need to understand the world that we inhabit, and the combination of these qualities can lead to a number of very strange things to believe very uninformed people.
